About This Spot

Stepping into Rincon De España feels like arriving at a welcoming corner where tradition and warmth gently embrace you. Nestled on Broadway in Bayonne, this Spanish restaurant carries a relaxed yet thoughtfully attentive pace—a place where familiar comforts coexist with moments of unexpected delight. The soft hum of conversations and the occasional clink of glasses create an easygoing rhythm, inviting guests to settle in and savor not just a meal but a shared experience.

The atmosphere strikes a balance between casual familiarity and understated charm. While the decor leans toward classic simplicity, the presence of crisp linen tablecloths and vibrant ceramic dishes hints at the care woven throughout the dining experience. It’s not a place that demands attention through flashy design, but rather one that quietly earns its place through meaningful connections—whether between friends, family, or newcomers discovering it for the first time.

At Rincon De España, food unfolds like a carefully told story, best enjoyed in thoughtful progression. The kitchen’s offerings bring Spanish flavors to life with a focus on generosity and sharing—whether it’s a hearty paella brimming with fresh seafood, succulent grilled shrimp bathing in garlic, or the subtle sweetness of flan that lingers as a gentle finale. Pairing perfectly with the food, the red sangria here carries a light, vibrant spirit, often remembered as an integral part of the celebration around the table.

This is a spot where the act of dining feels communal and unhurried. Plates arrive family-style, encouraging conversations to stretch and the enjoyment of both familiar and adventurous flavors. The attentive service adds warmth without intrusion, creating a sense of being cared for with a quiet professionalism that makes visitors feel at ease.

Rincon De España quietly thrives on moments—of shared meals, friendly chatter, and the kind of hospitality that invites you back again, whether for a casual weekday lunch or a festive weekend gathering. It’s the kind of place locals appreciate not just for its food, but for the sense of belonging it cultivates amid the everyday hustle.

Hidden Gem. The red sangria is a must. Best I've ever had in a restaurant. The food is served family style, and you'll want to order your food in the order of courses. The service is great. The decor could use some updating, but it's very clean. Linen tablecloths and napkins, ceramic dishes- casual fancy is what I perceive it to be. This place would really be good for all occasions, and the bar area is large enough for a healthy night life. We ordered stuffed scallops, paella, rice, garlic potatoes, garlic chicken, potato chips (they're hand made), and red sangria. At the end of the night, the staff enjoys a meal together- I loved seeing this. Familia!

As someone who does not usually enjoy spanish food, this place was AMAZING !!!! Paella cooked to perfection with clams, muscles scallops shrimp and lobster. Drinks are fresh and delicious. The service is immaculate and resembles a true classic restaurant.

Food and service is great as always. Food is plentiful and always enough to share or take home. Waiters are very careful and safe. Masks and gloves used. Tables are spread out for social distancing. Happy they were able to finally reopen.

My absolutely favorite place to eat in Bayonne. Delicious food, amazing sangria, friendly atmosphere, fast service. We've been going there for years now and not one time were we disappointed. They also have a party room for bigger groups of people. I recommend making reservation on the weekends as the place gets busy especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Definitely would recommend this place for seafood lovers!!!

Stopped by for a lunch on a weekday and the restaurant wasn't very busy but that was just fine for us. Our waiter Brent must of had one too many and he was sent home and replaced with a more seasoned waiter. The food was quite good - paella Valencia and shrimp in green sauce was our order for lunch. The food is served family style with a side of vegetables, rice and thin sliced fried potatoes. There is also a soup served with the meal which was a nicely done homemade chicken soup. The prices are completely reasonable and the atmosphere is a throwback to the Italian style restaurants of NJ in the 1980s. Would definitely come back, hope Brent didn't have too bad of a hangover!

10 Stars! First time yesterday for dinner and my husband and I loved it! From the 38 year history, to our 5 Star waiter Wilson from friendly phone conversation when I called to the gorgeous main bar window filled w/ a mini jungle and most importantly: The delicious, authentic Spanish cuisine and delicious tinto red wine, flan and even the smell of abuelas kitchen when you first enter. Will def be back w/ my seafood loving friends and fam.
